TVS is gearing up to introduce its very first adventure motorcycle, the RTX 300. Following its initial appearance at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 in January, a fully camouflaged test mule was recently spotted undergoing road tests. Interestingly, it appears to be testing alongside potential competitors like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure.

Despite the heavy camouflage, the design of the RTX 300 isn’t entirely a mystery, thanks to earlier leaked images from the expo. The bike carries a tall, commanding presence while maintaining the sporty DNA of the Apache series, highlighted by an aggressive front fascia and sharp side panels. It’s equipped with several adventure-ready features such as a tall windscreen, knuckle guards, a sturdy engine protector, sump guard, a chunky grab rail, and a luggage rack.
This adventure-focused approach extends to its hardware too. The RTX 300 rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels wrapped in block-pattern tyres. The bike seems to offer generous suspension travel and ample ground clearance. Its upright riding posture and spacious seat suggest that long-distance comfort has also been prioritized. In terms of features, it’s expected to pack a host of modern tech, including a detailed TFT instrument cluster, traction control, multiple ride modes, switchable ABS, cruise control, and more.
At its heart, the RTX 300 will be powered by a newly-developed 299cc, liquid-cooled RTX D4 engine — an in-house creation by TVS, replacing the older 312cc BMW-derived motor. This new engine will position the brand firmly in India’s growing adventure bike segment, delivering 35bhp and 28.5Nm of peak torque. It will be paired with a six-speed gearbox equipped with an assist and slipper clutch.
With recent spy shots doing the rounds and TVS having filed a patent for the model, the launch of the RTX 300 seems imminent. An official announcement is likely to follow within the next three to four months.
