Built on Tata’s proprietary Acti.ev platform, the Harrier EV will be available in both rear-wheel-drive (RWD) and all-wheel-drive (AWD) variants. Notably, it is the only vehicle across Tata’s entire range, including its internal combustion engine (ICE) models, to offer AWD capability. While the overall design retains the familiar shape of the ICE Harrier, it features distinct electric vehicle-specific elements such as a sealed front grille, redesigned bumpers, aerodynamically enhanced alloy wheels, and distinctive ‘EV’ branding. Customers can choose from four paint options: Pristine White, Nainital Nocturne, Empowered Oxide, and Pure Grey.
The Harrier EV offers two battery pack options: a 65 kWh unit powering a single motor on the rear axle and a larger 75 kWh pack paired with dual motors on both axles to enable AWD. The powertrain delivers up to 396 horsepower and 504 Nm of torque. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in a claimed 6.3 seconds. To address range concerns, the top-tier model boasts an impressive driving range of up to 627 km (as per MIDC standards) on a single charge.
Inside, the Harrier EV features a large 14.5-inch touchscreen infotainment system alongside a 12.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster. Tata claims it is the first car in the industry to integrate a Samsung Neo QLED screen, providing exceptional display clarity.
Additional amenities include ventilated and electrically adjustable front seats, a panoramic sunroof, illuminated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) and V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle) connectivity, and a premium JBL sound system with Dolby Atmos 5.1 surround sound. The vehicle offers four drive modes and six terrain modes to suit various driving conditions. Safety features encompass six airbags, Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a 360-degree camera, and a built-in dashcam.
The Harrier EV also supports over-the-air (OTA) updates and integrates DrivePay for seamless digital payments at charging stations. A standout feature is its 540-degree camera system, which not only provides a complete 360-degree view around the vehicle but also allows drivers to see underneath the car for enhanced safety and convenience.
