Spread across 100 acres, the new manufacturing facility will initially occupy 25 acres for production operations, with another 25 acres dedicated to green, eco-friendly spaces — highlighting the company’s commitment to sustainable and responsible industrial practices. In its first phase, the plant will have an annual production capacity of 750,000 units and is targeted to commence operations by 2027.
Once fully operational, the Kharkhoda facility is expected to create around 2,000 employment opportunities. The first phase of the project involves an investment of approximately ₹1,200 crore. The plant’s infrastructure will incorporate modern automation, lean manufacturing techniques, and energy-efficient technologies, aligning with Suzuki’s global focus on reducing environmental impact and promoting sustainable growth.
This expansion is set to reinforce SMIPL’s local production capabilities, optimize its supply chain operations, and better serve the growing customer base across the country.
