KTM India recently revised the pricing of the RC 200, increasing it by ₹11,000. Previously available at ₹2.21 lakh, the motorcycle now carries a price tag of ₹2.32 lakh (ex-showroom). While one of the reasons behind this hike is the engine’s upgrade to meet OBD-2B emission norms, the steep increase suggests there might be additional factors at play. However, an official statement regarding the price revision is yet to be released.

Meanwhile, demand for KTM’s RC series has seen a dip in several parts of India over the past few months. Dealers have reported a noticeable decline in enquiries for the RC models since the last festive season. It appears that many potential buyers are holding out for the next-generation RC line-up. The updated 390cc RC variant was last spotted around a year ago, showcasing significant upgrades over its current version. It’s expected to make its global debut at the EICMA Show in November this year, followed by its launch in the Indian market.
The RC 200 continues to feature a steel trellis frame paired with a non-adjustable WP Apex suspension setup. Braking duties are managed by a 320mm front and 230mm rear disc brake setup with dual-channel ABS. The motorcycle is powered by a lively 199.5cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 24.6bhp and 19.2Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed gearbox. Tipping the scales at 160kg (kerb), it also comes equipped with a 13.7-litre fuel tank.
