Leading two-wheeler manufacturer Honda has officially stepped into the electric motorcycle segment, keeping pace with the growing EV trend. The company has unveiled its first electric bike globally, named the E-VO.
For now, the E-VO will be exclusive to the Chinese market, with no confirmed plans for an India launch at this stage. As per available information, this new electric motorcycle has been developed in collaboration with a local partner based in Guangzhou. In terms of design, Honda has styled the E-VO as a café racer, blending retro aesthetics with a modern electric powertrain.
At the front, it features a rounded fascia complemented by a clear, vintage-inspired visor and fairing on both sides that conceals much of the mechanical components. Staying true to its café racer roots, it comes with a single-piece seat without grab handles for the pillion.
The E-VO is equipped with clip-on handlebars housing various control switches, along with sleek side mirrors, adding a distinctive flair to its overall look. It rides on a 16-inch front wheel and a 14-inch alloy wheel at the rear.
Powering the E-VO is a PMS (Permanent Magnet Synchronous) electric motor, designed to deliver strong and efficient performance. The motorcycle is built around an aluminium frame, helping to keep the overall weight low and ensuring a stable, engaging riding experience.
Buyers will have two battery configurations to choose from — a 4.1 kWh unit offering a range of up to 120 km, and a larger 6.3 kWh pack capable of covering around 170 km on a single charge.
