Hero MotoCorp is working on a brand-new lineup of premium motorcycles, built around its upcoming 421cc platform. The Xpulse 421 is expected to be the first motorcycle in this series to utilize the new engine. The company has already patented the overall design of the Xpulse 421 along with several key components and parts specific to the bike.

Taking cues from these design patents, automotive rendering artist Pratyush Rout has created digital illustrations of what the upcoming Hero Xpulse 421 could look like. These renders showcase the bike in a range of colour options, including Blue, Grey, Red, Silver, Copper, and White, all featuring eye-catching triple-tone graphics inspired by other Hero models.
The renderings reveal a flat front fascia housing a neatly integrated LED headlamp, topped by a tall, clear windscreen designed to deflect windblast. This windshield is shown to be adjustable, allowing riders of various heights to customize their riding experience. The motorcycle also sports semi-fairing elements, adding a muscular appearance while enhancing aerodynamics.
Additional design details include sleek knuckle guards and handlebar-mounted rearview mirrors. According to the design patents, the Xpulse 421 will feature a single-piece stepped seat and a rear luggage rack capable of holding a top box. The renders also display a sturdy metal bash plate underneath the engine for underbelly protection.
The Xpulse 421 will come equipped with a single upswept exhaust, which should improve water-wading capabilities and off-road performance. The motorcycle is expected to feature high-end hardware like USD front forks, a rear monoshock (both fully adjustable), petal disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS, and wire-spoke wheels—19 inches at the front and 17 inches at the rear—shod with dual-purpose tyres.
While the digital renders don’t reveal the instrument console, it is confirmed that the production model will feature a full-colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. This unit will likely support features such as call and notification alerts, music control, and turn-by-turn navigation. Other expected tech additions include ride-by-wire throttle, a slipper clutch, and possibly cruise control.
Although official engine specifications haven’t been disclosed yet, early reports suggest the Xpulse 421 will be powered by a 421cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC, four-valve engine. This motor is expected to deliver around 45 bhp of maximum power and 40 Nm of peak torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox.
