Honda has officially begun accepting bookings for the new CB650R and its fully-faired sibling, the CBR650R, following their launch in India last month. Enthusiasts can reserve the latest CB650R at any Honda BigWing dealership across the country. The 2025 model is priced at ₹9.2 lakh (ex-showroom).
For 2025, the Honda CB650R receives subtle yet effective updates to maintain its appeal in a competitive segment that includes the Kawasaki Z650 and Triumph Trident 660. The bike retains its signature retro-inspired styling, featuring a round headlamp, flat handlebar, and a redesigned tail section that adds to its aggressive stance. Additionally, the exposed header pipes enhance the bike’s distinctive look.
Built on a steel frame, the CB650R is equipped with Showa SFF USD forks at the front and a 10-step preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by dual front disc brakes and a single rear disc, complemented by dual-channel ABS. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels and features a TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity.
Under the hood, the CB650R is powered by a 649cc, liquid-cooled inline-four engine—the same unit found in the CBR650R. It delivers 94bhp and 63Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox. Unlike some of its rivals, the 2025 CB650R does not come with a quickshifter as standard.
