The Aprilia RS457 was originally introduced as the brand’s entry-level model but quickly became a notable contender in the middleweight motorcycle category, retaining the distinct Aprilia design factors. After undergoing thorough evaluations by the esteemed jury members at the NDTV Auto Awards 2025, held at the Buddh International Circuit on February 11, 2025, the RS457 claimed the top spot, outperforming other nominees.
The RS457 competed against a competitive range of motorcycles, including the Bajaj Freedom 125, Bajaj Pulsar N125, Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z, Hero Mavrick 440, Hero Xtreme 125R, Royal Enfield Bear 650, Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450, and Kinetic e-Luna. Its bold design draws inspiration from the RS660 and RSV4 models and is available in two vibrant paint options.
The RS457 features a dual-beam aluminum frame and houses a 457cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine with a 270-degree crank and DOHC head setup. This engine generates 47.6 horsepower at 9,400 rpm and 48 Nm of torque at 6,700 rpm. The power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox, complete with a multi-plate wet clutch and slipper system.

In terms of suspension, the RS457 comes with a 41 mm USD fork offering 120 mm of travel up front and a rear monoshock providing 130 mm of travel, both of which are preload-adjustable. For braking, the bike uses a 320 mm front disc with a Bybre 4-piston radial caliper and a 220 mm rear disc with a single-piston floating caliper. The bike is fitted with 17-inch wheels, paired with 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tires.
