TVS Motor Company has an exciting lineup planned for this year, with four new products expected to hit the market. This includes the highly anticipated Apache RR 450, a new premium electric scooter, an electric motorcycle, and a CNG-powered three-wheeler. Additionally, the company is set to introduce the iconic Norton brand in India before the end of 2025.

While Norton’s entry will see super-premium motorcycles hit Indian roads, the real buzz is around the rapidly growing 400-650cc segment. Both TVS and Norton have confirmed plans to develop new models in this mid-size category, exploring both single-cylinder and parallel-twin engine platforms.
What’s officially confirmed now is that TVS will utilize the 450cc parallel-twin platform jointly developed with BMW, first showcased in the BMW F 450 GS at EICMA 2024. This engine platform won’t just power BMW’s upcoming F 450 GS and its F 450 R naked streetfighter, but will also underpin TVS’s next-gen supersport, likely named the Apache RR 450, as a step up from the current Apache RR 310.
When launched, the TVS Apache RR 450 will compete with rivals like the Aprilia RS 457 and Yamaha R3, while BMW’s future F 450 R will square off against the Aprilia Tuono 457 and Yamaha MT-03.
Adding an exciting twist to the story, Norton is also expected to adopt this 450cc parallel-twin platform for its upcoming motorcycles, with a possible launch timeline of late 2026. The goal is to make Norton’s premium legacy motorcycles more accessible and volume-driven, positioning them in the lucrative mid-size motorcycle space. This strategic move will allow Norton, under TVS’s leadership, to challenge Royal Enfield’s dominance in the mid-size retro and modern classic segment. With this, Norton could rival both the Sherpa 450 platform and the popular 650cc twins from Royal Enfield, offering bikes at competitive price points.
