JSW MG Motor India has begun teasing the upcoming Windsor Pro, an updated version of the Windsor EV, ahead of its official debut on May 6. While the company has just started its teaser campaign, images of the new model have already surfaced online, revealing key details about the electric car.
One of the noticeable changes on the Windsor Pro is its new alloy wheel design. These wheels now feature a diamond-cut finish, the same style currently seen on the MG Hector. Additionally, the rear tailgate now carries ADAS badging, indicating the inclusion of advanced driver assistance features. MG may also introduce new exterior colours with this update, while the previously available Clay Beige colour option has reportedly been replaced with a silver shade for the Windsor EV lineup.

Inside, the Windsor Pro gets a more premium touch with beige seat upholstery, which not only gives the cabin a classier appearance but also stays cooler compared to the previous black seats when parked under the sun. However, maintaining the lighter-coloured seats over time could be a bit challenging.
Among the key feature upgrades is the addition of an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which wasn’t offered on the current Windsor EV. MG has also confirmed that the Windsor Pro will come equipped with a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature — a handy function that allows the car’s battery to power external electrical devices. Furthermore, an electric tailgate is expected to be part of the package.
When it comes to performance, the existing Windsor EV is powered by a 38kWh battery, delivering a claimed range of 332km as per MIDC standards. The Windsor Pro, however, will pack a larger 50.6kWh battery, offering an extended range of 460km according to the CLTC cycle — a significant improvement over its predecessor.
Since its launch in September, the Windsor EV has received an overwhelming response, becoming one of the best-selling electric vehicles in the country. There’s been consistent demand from customers for a variant with a longer driving range, and with the introduction of the Windsor Pro, JSW MG Motor India is addressing that feedback. It’s anticipated that the Windsor Pro will be launched as a single, fully loaded top-end variant.
