The demand for electric vehicles is surging, initially dominated by scooters before expanding to motorcycles. Now, even mopeds, commonly used for transporting goods, are entering the EV segment. In line with this trend, Kinetic Green is gearing up to introduce a new version of its electric Luna in the market.

Kinetic Green, a leading manufacturer of electric two-wheelers, is preparing to roll out an upgraded variant of the e-Luna. The company has already filed a design patent for this latest model, which is expected to be highly beneficial for individuals relying on scooters for cargo transport, particularly in rural areas.
According to the company, the newly patented design of the Kinetic e-Luna will feature an internal combustion engine. The updated version will come equipped with a square-shaped headlamp and a fully digital instrument cluster resembling a small tablet. Additionally, the model will offer an open leg space similar to the XL series vehicles, enhancing convenience for riders.
One of the most noticeable updates is the introduction of a storage box positioned between the rider’s seat and the handlebar. This addition is designed to increase cargo capacity or accommodate an extra battery pack, potentially extending the vehicle’s range. The current e-Luna comes with a 2 kWh battery, offering a riding range of 110 km on a full charge. It has a top speed of 50 km/h and requires approximately four hours for a complete recharge.
The upcoming model is expected to bring a significant boost in range, with estimates suggesting it could travel up to 200 km on a single charge with the additional battery option. However, details regarding the type of battery—whether fixed or removable—are yet to be disclosed.
While Kinetic Green has not officially confirmed the launch date, sources indicate that the new e-Luna is likely to hit the market by the end of this year.
