True to its name, the Hilux Black Edition features a deep black exterior finish with several blacked-out elements, including the grille, wing mirrors, and door handles, which are usually chrome on the standard model. The 18-inch alloy wheels have also been given a black finish, adding to the bold appeal. Additionally, the model comes with black wheel arch cladding and a front skid plate—features that are offered as accessories on the regular Hilux.
Inside, the cabin remains unchanged as the standard Hilux already features a black dashboard and black leather upholstery. This edition adds to the existing five color options available for the Hilux: Emotional Red, White Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Metallic, Super White, and Grey Metallic.
The Hilux Black Edition retains all the features of the standard High variant. It comes equipped with an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, LED headlamps, an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, cruise control, seven airbags, and a rear-view camera.
Under the hood, the Black Edition continues to be powered by the 2.8-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that produces 204hp and 500Nm of torque. However, it is available exclusively with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Power is delivered to all four wheels, and off-road capabilities are enhanced with an electronic differential lock and automatic limited-slip differential.
