Ultraviolette, a pioneer in high-performance electric motorcycles, showcased its latest innovation at the Fast Forward India event in Bengaluru. Marking a major milestone, the company introduced its first-ever electric scooter, the Tesseract. CEO Narayan Subramaniam described the vision behind this creation as “putting a spacecraft on two wheels.”

The Tesseract is available in Stealth Black, Sonic Pink, and Desert Sand. The first 10,000 customers can purchase it at a special introductory price of Rs 1.2 lakh (ex-showroom), after which the price will be revised to Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom).
Despite its aggressive stance, the Tesseract remains practical, offering 34 liters of under-seat storage, large enough to fit a full-face helmet.
What sets the Tesseract apart is its advanced tech, many of which are typically seen in high-end automobiles. Key features include:
- Dual Radar System (Front & Rear) – A global first for scooters, providing Blindspot Detection, Overtake Alerts, and Collision Warnings.
- Blindspot Assistance – Integrated into premium ORVMs (rearview mirrors).
- Smart Dashcam with AI Support – Powered by Violette AI for real-time riding insights.
- Haptic Feedback Handlebars – Enhancing rider awareness.
- 7-inch Connected TFT Touchscreen – Offering real-time navigation.
- Floating DRLs & Dual LED Projector Headlamps.
- Wireless Smartphone Charging.
It also features 14-inch aero-disc alloy wheels fitted with 110-section front and 140-section rear tires for superior grip and stability.
At the heart of the Tesseract is a powerful motor delivering 20.1 bhp, enabling:
- A top speed of 125 km/h.
- 0-60 km/h acceleration in just 2.9 seconds.
- An IDC-certified range of 261 km per charge.
Ultraviolette claims that Rs 100 worth of electricity (12 units) can provide an equivalent of 500 km/l in mileage terms.
Unlike some rivals that market “Dual ABS” without full functionality, Ultraviolette equips the Tesseract with a true dual-channel ABS system. Additional safety features include:
- Traction Control System (TCS).
- Dynamic Stability Control (DSC).
