Revolt Motors has unveiled its latest electric motorcycle, the RV BlazeX, priced at Rs 1.15 lakh (ex-showroom). Bookings for the model have opened, with a nominal token payment of Rs 499. Manufactured at the company’s facility in Manesar, Haryana (India), the RV BlazeX is expected to start deliveries from March 1st.
Here’s an overview of the key features
The RV BlazeX shares a similar look with the RV400 but incorporates some subtle changes. While the round headlamp remains, the RV BlazeX is equipped with a more muscular fuel tank, replacing the extended tank shrouds found on the RV400. Other design highlights include a single-piece seat, black alloy wheels with red accents, an underbelly sump guard branded with BlazeX, and a single-piece grab rail with an integrated small luggage rack. The motorcycle is available in two color choices – Sterling Silver Black and Eclipse Red Black.
It has a 6-inch LCD digital display that offers 4G telematics, GPS, and IoT features such as mobile connectivity, geo-fencing, and over-the-air (OTA) updates. Additional conveniences include three selectable ride modes, a reverse mode, full LED lighting, a front storage compartment, as well as under-seat and charging compartments. In terms of suspension, the RV BlazeX uses telescopic forks in the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear, while stopping power is provided by 240mm front and rear disc brakes.
Under the hood, the RV BlazeX is powered by a 4kW electric motor paired with a 3.24 kWh lithium-ion battery, delivering a claimed range of 150 km on a single charge—10 km less than the RV1. With a fast charger, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in just 80 minutes, whereas using a standard AC charger will take approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes for a full recharge.
