Yamaha has officially introduced the 2025 Tricity 125, bringing a host of updates to its distinctive three-wheeled city scooter. Designed as a practical, user-friendly option for urban commuters, the latest model focuses on enhancing comfort, safety, and overall efficiency.
Powering the new Tricity 125 is an updated 125cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that now complies with the stringent Euro 5+ emission norms. It retains Yamaha’s signature Blue Core and Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technologies. Additionally, the company has fine-tuned the engine mounts to minimize vibrations — especially noticeable during idle and low-speed city rides.
A key highlight of the Tricity 125 continues to be its Leaning Multi-Wheel (LMW) technology, which enables the front wheels to lean into turns while maintaining greater stability on uneven or slippery roads. For the 2025 model, Yamaha has adjusted the suspension setup to deliver a smoother and more comfortable ride over rough urban streets.
On the tech front, the scooter now offers compatibility with the Yamaha MyRide app, giving riders access to vehicle stats, trip records, and maintenance updates via their smartphones. It also sports a fully digital instrument cluster and features all-LED lighting, adding a modern and premium touch.
When it comes to practicality, the updated Tricity 125 offers generous under-seat storage and a redesigned seat aimed at boosting rider comfort. Yamaha has further refined the Unified Braking System (UBS), ensuring improved braking feel and enhanced safety during sudden stops.
As of now, the 2025 Tricity 125 is available in select European markets. While there’s no official word on an India launch, it remains a compelling example of Yamaha’s forward-thinking approach to urban mobility.
